You can configure the Open Shortest Path First Version 3 (OSPFv3) instance on circuitless IP (CLIP) interfaces for the Global Router or a specific Virtual Router Forwarding (VRF) instance. The switch supports a maximum of 64 OSPFv3 CLIP interfaces.
The CLIP interfaces are virtual interfaces and are not associated with the physical ports on the switch. The system considers the OSPFv3 CLIP instances as passive and the system copies the IPv6 address associated with the OSPFv3 instance into the intra-area-prefix-LSA. You must follow a two-step configuration to create an OSPFv3 instance on the CLIP interface and enable the instance, for the system to send the intra-area-prefix-LSA of the OSPFv3 instance to the neighbors. For more information, see Configure OSPFv3 on the CLIP Interface for the Global Router and Configure OSPFv3 on the CLIP Interface for a VRF Instance for CLI or Configure OSPFv3 on a CLIP Interface. for EDM.
